The Builder

My name is Wes Vann, and I am the builder behind Wildflower Bicycles.

My sense of adventure grew as I began to realize the freedom the bicycle provided me. As I grew older, off-road riding became my primary interest. Crashing a 3x8 rigid bike through the woods evolved to racing Cross Country, Short Track and Cyclocross in college. Racing required long training rides; these eventually became the focus rather than a means to an end. Bicycle touring soon followed. An extended tour through the Cascade and Sierra Nevada Ranges served as the turning point in my cycling narrative. Over the course of thousands of miles of riding, an idea began to develop. That idea is what you see here today; an idea that serves as my most recent cycling realization.

The Philosophy

The bicycle is a means of transportation. And a fine one at that. It allows you to move at a more natural pace and actually feel what’s going on. You’re in a permanent convertible.

A bicycle can take you from the trailhead into the woods to decompress. It can take you from your dwelling to the grocery store to get sustenance. It can transport you to the bar to meet up with friends over a good brew. It serves as a transport between meaningful experiences, but riding a bike can be a meaningful experience by itself. That is the focus of Wildflower; to enrich the rider experience by handcrafting quality bicycles designed for your riding intentions.

Creating a rider-centric company is at the heart of every decision we make here at Wildflower. We aim to get you on a bicycle that is designed around your preferences, your fit, and your riding style. We look forward to you affording us the opportunity to impress.
